Fifteen Years Between Research, Service, and Product.
I'm Mert. I design services and the digital products that make them
legible — across various industries. Currently I am based in Rome, Italy.
The throughline across fifteen years and four agencies — Accenture,
Fjord, WUNDER, IBM — is the same question, asked at different
scales: what does the system actually do for the person standing
in front of it, and what would have to change to do it better?
Most of my work has started with research at depth, with the people
the service actually serves. The deliverable that earns the job is
usually the one that names a thing the client hadn't named yet. From
there it's coordination — between design intent and engineering
reality, between what's possible and what ships. The hard part isn't
usually the design.
Outside the day-to-day, I research at the intersection of AI and
design — agentic interfaces, the patterns that hold them together,
and small experiments and skills that come out of that work. The
